Online Music Lessons
Learning Does Not Stop at Klassik Arts
The safety of our students and family are our foremost concern at Klassik Arts. Due to Covid-19, all of our music lessons are currently online.
How do our online music lessons work?
Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, Klassik Arts Music School has moved all music lessons online. Using online meeting tools, such as Zoom and Facetime, one-on-one private music lessons are given once a week on a scheduled time. In order to better service our students and to bring the online music lesson experience as close as possible to an on-site music lesson, we are utilizing multiple online tools to assist our students’ music lessons.
Google Docs
We find it very important that we always keep our communication open with both our students and the parents. Before Covid-19, our teachers would always have a short conversation with our parents regarding how the lesson went. Since our teachers are not able to meet with parents in person, we have decided to update parents on their student’s progress through a shared Google Doc. This helps us update parents in real-time and keep track of the student’s progress and assignments regularly.
Klassik Arts LISTEN!
Klassik Arts LISTEN is our Youtube channel. Our channel includes playing examples of pieces our students are working on and other performances by our faculty. Videos also include advices and instruction to help when practicing at home.
How would a typical online music lesson be like?
Student meets his/her teacher using Zoom or Facetime for a one-on-one music lesson.
After the lesson, a Google Doc shared between the teacher and student/parent is updated regarding how the lesson went and what next week’s assignment will be. This way, everyone will be aware of the lesson went and which assignments need practicing.
During the week, the student can go to Klassik Arts LISTEN! and use the playing examples as a reference to supplement their practicing sessions.
