The “Mozart” effect. The “Mozart” effect is the concept of playing classical music to an unborn or newborn baby to promote higher intelligence. But is it real?

It is scientifically proven that an unborn baby can hear outside noises, such as their mother’s voice, when inside of their mother’s womb. Many mothers utilize this to talk to or read to their unborn baby to help familiarize their voices. Classical music came into play in the 1900s when the belief about classical music increasing IQs spread throughout mothers-to-be. However, there is currently not enough evidence to support the idea that classical music makes your baby smarter, but there are definitely benefits.

Music is proven to be a great tool for relieving stress and bettering mental health. Music can be used to improve cognitive, motor, emotional, communicative, social, sensory, and educational domains by using both active and receptive music experiences.
