Dear Parents,

We miss all of our students and we hope that everyone is safe and healthy during these difficult times. We, as a school and a community, would like to stay consistent as possible and stay in communication with you. Please look out for our email updates and our newsletters as they will be updating our students on our situation concerning COVID-19.

ONLINE LESSONS

Klassik Arts is now ONLINE! We have successfully transitioned our lessons into the online platform and we want to thank all of our transitioned students and their parents for their patience and support. Our online schedules are relatively consistent with our schedules.

Tips for better connection

Here are some tips to help maintain a clear connection during Online Lessons:

  1. Please try to refrain from using a streaming service, such as Netflix/Youtube during the lessons.

  2. Please try to refrain from using the microwave during lessons as operating it interrupts the wifi connection.

  3. If possible, stay as close to the router as possible.

All the videos for the Kids Music B lessons are available. Kids Music C Lessons and well as Primer level and level 1 of the piano lessons will be available very soon on the channel for your reference.

Various flute pieces and current studies for students are available for reference.

 

Klassik Arts Online Recital

Klassik Arts Online Recital is planned for May! There will be no dress for the recital this Summer.

 

Certificate of Merit

The Certificate of Merit test is tentatively scheduled for the month of June. We will notify all the CM students as soon as date is finalized.

We will be resuming our CM Theory group class for our higher CM level students ONLINE. Please look out for our future updates.
 

San Diego Flute Guild Spring Festival

The San Diego Flute Guild Festival will be moving forward with their events and participants will now be able to compete through recording submissions. The instructions are different for each individual even so please read them carefully.

  • Competitors will upload audio recordings (location TBD) no later than May 15th, 2020. Recordings should be in mp3 or mp4 formats.

  • Recordings should be no longer than 8 minutes in length. You should submit 1 recording, even if performing more than one piece within those 8 minutes.

  • Competitors may change their repertoire from their original selection no later than May 1st.

  • Competitors have no later than May 1st if they wish to forfeit from the festival.

Youth Artist Competition

The San Diego Flute Guild Festival have decided to move forward and finalists will be able to compete through a recording submission.

  • Competitors will upload audio recordings (location TBD) no later than May 15th, 2020. Recordings must be separate for separate pieces and must be in mp3 or mp4 formats.

  • Finalists will need to perform the Final Round repertoire in its entirety. No changes will be accepted.

  • Piano accompaniment is recommended, but not required. All finalists will be considered equally for top prizes, whether they perform with accompaniment or not.

  • Competitors have no later than May 1st if they wish to forfeit from the competition. Please email SDFG.
