Art Lessons for Kids (From age 4)

Studies show that the creative arts are an important aspect of academic learning!  Students will have the vocabulary of the visual arts to express their observations and their imagination. Through artistic processes and skills, using a variety of media to explore ideas help students to develop their creative thinking. The arts are not just expressive and affective, they are deeply cognitive. They develop essential thinking tools - pattern recognition and development, careful observation of the world, and abstraction from complexity. The arts contribute to the education of young children by helping them realize the different ways humans express sentiments and convey meaning, and develop subtle and complex forms of thinking.

These classes are designed to allow children to explore their creativity through a variety of artistic projects. Students will get acquainted with a variety of media including watercolor, pencil, pastel, acrylic, charcoal and more. These youngsters will learn to be creative and imaginative as they practice their fine motor skills.
